About Built to Last
Built to Last is run by an appliance sales professional who sees which models come back. We collect published service-rate data, repair-cost guides, and technician reports, cite every number, and mark gaps as data coming rather than guessing.
Methodology
Yale's service rate = units serviced in year one ÷ units sold, from one Boston-area retailer. Repair costs are published national ranges. We plan to add our own anonymized return/service observations and technician submissions.
